Hello, my name is Brad Greek, I am a local artist and creator of this great event. Here is how it will work:
I am going to release 50 signed and numbered, 8” x 10” Limited Edition Giclee Reproduction Prints of a fun Whimsical style painting called “Cake Attack!” Placing them in local art related shops from Navarre, Mary Esther, Ft. Walton Beach, Shalimar, and the Niceville areas.
Your goal is to go out and visit your local frame shops, galleries, souvenir shops etc… searching for this print. They could be anywhere art related!! When you find one it’s yours to keep FREE!! This print is a collectable archival quality print. Complete with Certificate of Authenticity and an artist statement/ Bio sheet.
This packet will also include a 15% Off coupon for 1st time framing orders, Donated by Tom Reigle- owner/ operator of STB Custom Framing & Gifts, 130D Perry Plaza, Ft. Walton Bch., (796-3335). Register your print with the shop that you found it in or call me to register your print at (850) 581-6536. After all the prints are found there will be a special award ceremony, with a Drawing from the list of registered Art Search print recipients. A 20”w x 16”h framed and matted, Signed and Numbered, Limited Edition Giclee Print of my painting “Break Time” will be given away. This print is of our beautiful Emerald Coast Beaches. Also included with this prize package will be other gifts from our local businesses and organizations. Making this a worth while event, valued over $700.00.

Grand Prize Drawing was awarded to Paul Lapp and Family
I ended up with 22 shops participating (a couple shops wouldn't confirm with me to participate) So I loaded up prints on a couple shops that were promoting the event in with their own events, Like Art Nights, featuring me to speak about this event.
I had a total of 3 press releases before the event was over. And I'll have one more ... with the results of the drawing in it.
A total of 21 prints were found and registered.
About 25-30 people came out to the Drawing at a beautiful park on the water here. Bringing their kids and dogs for the outing. (about 11 print recipients ).
Everyone seemed excited about it and were very supportive of this idea. The winners ( a family that was present ) were overwhelmed with the prize package. I even had a door prize drawing for a personalized t-shirt from one shop and a pair of bicycle rentals on the beach trail from another shop. ($40 value)
I spoke of the reasons for the event, the shops that participated, some other events that are coming up, ideas about next years event, and most of all thanked them for their support for taking time out of their busy schedules to go out and search.
Draw-backs: Thunderbird Air Show and the Military Base, Boy Scout Rally at the Fair Grounds, and several art festivals in neighboring towns on the same day as the drawing. Also no Air time on the radio did slow down the promotional side of it, I will work on this issue this coming year.
Over all I think it was a success for the first year!! Next year it will be mind blowing!! It was small this year but my goal is to fill the park in years to come!! With more artists and art forms involved.
